I've taught flood estimation methods on and off for more than 20 years, mainly based on the Flood Studies Report and, latterly, the Flood Estimation Handbook. This is my main area of training expertise. I enjoy writing and reviewing. It takes me quite a while to do either, but my proof-reading and editing are less constipated, if the subject area is right. As this website probably exposes, I like words. DWRconsult business comes first but there's a particular book that I am working on. I have general interests in applied statistics and the public understanding of science, with particular regard to risks and extremes.
