Reed, D.W. 1985a. Extension of the S-curve method of unit hydrograph transformation. Tech. Note 439, Proc. Instn of Civil Engrs, Part 2, 79, 193–201.
The S-curve method is a standard technique for transforming a unit hydrograph from one period (or standard duration of rainfall) to another. The Note describes an extension of the method to provide a means of transforming a unit hydrograph derived at one site for use at a nearby ungauged site. An algorithm is presented which avoids undue irregularities in the transformed unit hydrograph.
